Yes we are a pet-friendly resort. Please ensure you include your pet on your booking.
XL Bullys are welcome to our resorts as long as owners follow the government rules. They must have a muzzle and lead on at all times when outside, this includes on patios and decking areas of the lodge.
WiFi is available across the resort, but please note because of the remoteness of the resort the signal strength varies across the resort.

Yes, we are open 12 months of the year, including Christmas and New Year.
There is a Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Booths supermarket located in the town of Penrith. Closer to the park is a post office located approximately 4 miles away in Greystoke.

Penrith Railway station is roughly a 20 minute drive away from our resort.
Please follow the same strict rules you would outside the park. We strongly advise that, for your protection, if you or any member of your family or guests use or ride bicycles, skateboards, scooters or heelies; please wear helmets and reflective clothing.
We’re pet-friendly, but do have a few rules to ensure the park can be enjoyed by pet-owners and non-pet-owners alike.
We ask that no dogs, pets, or animals of any kind may occupy a non pet unit without the prior permission of the Park Manager. (This can be achieved by including your pet on your booking form to ensure you are allocated a pet-friendly unit).
- Where allowed, all pets must at all times be kept under proper control and must not enter any facility building. (excluding guide dogs)
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times (unless in the dedicated dog areas) and prevented from fouling.
- All fouling should be disposed of immediately in an appropriate manner.
- In accordance with the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, the following breeds of dog are not permitted anywhere on the park at any time: Pit-bull Terrier Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero as well as any other breed at the Park Manager’s discretion.

Parking is available for one vehicle at each lodge, additional parking is available in the gravelled areas on park.

No, BBQ’s are no longer permitted here at Thanet Well.
Yes, towels and bed linen are provided.
All of our holiday lodges are equipped with fridge freezers.

No, the distribution of power to the units cannot sustain prolonged high usage.

Yes. Here at Darwin Escapes we do offer flexible finance options. Please note we do not offer finance on holiday homes worth £150,000 and over, and finance is subject to status. Please read our finance guide for more information.

No, we do not offer subletting or the ability to rent out your holiday home at Thanet Well.
No. Darwin Escapes are a non-residential holiday home company. This means you cannot live in your holiday home and that we require annual proof of a primary residence.
Yes. Thanet Well Lodge Retreat has a 12 month open season, so you can visit your holiday home all year round.
No, you can stay for as long as you want to in your lodge and visit as often as you choose. Your holiday home is truly your escape to visit whenever you want. However please note, we are a non residential holiday home company, this means you cannot live in your holiday home.
